Human Activity
Human activity could negatively affect my organism by deforestation and hunting. Deforestation could harm hyena's because you would be depleting their habitat in
which they live to survive. They use their habitat to eat, sleep, etc. For humans to remove it causes many animals to go extinct. Another way could be hunting. Humans hunt hyenas and other organisms in their habitat. This causes death and a decreased population of hyenas.

Symbiotic Relationships
Parasitism: Parasitism is a symbiotic relationship between organisms of different species where one benefits at the expense of the other. For example, all hyena species engage in this behavior to eat. Hyena's kill and feast on zebras, gazelles, rabbits and buffalo. The hyena's are benefiting because that is their meal, but the animals that are being eaten are not because of course they die.
Mutualism: Mutualism is a relationship between two species where they both benefit from the association. For example, humans own domesticated animals like sheep, cattle, dogs, and donkeys. To help create a mutualistic relationship, humans allow hyenas to feast upon their dead animals. This allows a meal for hyenas, and the humans do not have to clean up the dead animals. Therefore, they both benefit from this.
Commensalism: Commensalism is a relationship between organisms or species where only ONE of them benefit but the other one is not harmed or affected. An example, Hyenas and vultures benefit from a lion-kill but lions are not affected in the process.

Innate Behavior
Spotted hyenas are the only carnivores born almost fully developed. Unlike other hyena species, spotted hyenas are born with their eyes meaning that instead of them being shut for a long period of time they are born with them open and are able to see things sooner. Also, they are born with teeth, which allows them to eat food and chew earlier. These physical traits are very uncommon among other animals.
